Seperti yang diketahui, Presiden Joko Widodo memberikan gelar Jenderal Kehormatan kepada Menhan Prabowo Subianto pada Rabu, 28 Februari 2024. Kenaikan pangkat tersebut tercantum dalam Keppres Nomor 13/TNI/Tahun 2024 tanggal 21 Februari 2024 Tentang Penganugerahan Pangkat Secara Istimewa Berupa Jenderal TNI Kehormatan.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Jokowi menyampaikan bahwa dirinya memberikan penganugerahan kepada Prabowo.
"Terakhir, dalam kesempatan yang baik ini, yang berbahagia ini, saya ingin sampaikan penganugerahan kenaikan pangkat istimewa berupa Jenderal TNI kehormatan kepada Bapak Prabowo Subianto," tutur Jokowi.
Jokowi pun mengucapkan selamat kepada Prabowo atas kenaikan pangkat yang didapatkannya.
"Penganugerahan ini bentuk penghargaan, sekaligus peneguhan untuk berbakti sepenuhnya kepada rakyat, kepada bangsa, dan negara. Saya ucapkan selamat kepada Bapak Jenderal Prabowo Subianto," ucap Jokowi.
