Hotman said that the police were not firm in handling the case of Vina who was killed by a group of men.
Due to the lack of firmness in the police, even now the police team has not succeeded in arresting the 3 DPOs in the Vina case.
Even though the murder case of Vina Cirebon has occurred since August 2016, now 8 perpetrators have been arrested and have been sentenced. However, the three perpetrators, including the mastermind, were never arrested by the police.
"So here we see that there is a lack of seriousness in uncovering these three perpetrators," said Hotman Paris at Central Park Mall Thursday, May 16 2024.

Hotman said that the murder accompanied by rape had actually become clear when the eight perpetrators gave statements after being arrested by the police.
However, when the case was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office, the eight perpetrators denied the involvement of the three other perpetrators in the Vina Cirebon murder case.
"It is clear that the 8 perpetrators admitted the involvement of these 3 DPOs but then they denied it afterward, if there were a lot of cases from the prosecutor's office, it means there was someone's influence," explained Hotman.
Therefore, Hotman Paris asked the police team to handle Vina's case again and carry out another BOP.
"Our appeal, in particular, is that the identities of these 3 people can be found out so that their families can start being summoned for BAP," explained Hotman.
"If necessary, all of these prisoners will have their BAP repeated to find out the identities of the 3 DPOs because this touches our sense of justice in Indonesia," he concluded.
