Bagi Ayu Ting Ting, penting untuk menunggu kedua orangtua kembali dari haji sebelum mengumumkan keputusan ini, sebagai bentuk penghormatan pada mereka.
"Ya karena kan nungguin ibu sama ayah pulang haji. Kebetulan waktu itu orangtuanya Dana juga lagi haji. Jadi, kalau sudah sampai bareng-bareng kan sudah enak," tutur Ayu Ting Ting.

"Jadi, pas nyampe baru cerita. Ya mereka sebagai orangtua cuma bisa support, karena kami yang menjalani," ucap Ayu Ting Ting.
