The President also asked the General Election Commission (KPU) as the election organizer to maintain its neutrality.
According to Jokowi, the KPU is often the target of accusations from the public.
"The KPU must also be truly neutral, must not take sides. They must act according to the applicable rules. Because if the KPU is proven to have deviated from the rules, they could be accused. This is very important to understand," said Jokowi.
In order to maintain integrity and fairness in the democratic process, it is important for all parties, especially ASN and KPU, to respect the principle of neutrality.
The success of the 2024 elections depends entirely on the collective efforts of all elements of society and compliance by all parties with existing regulations.
