This subpoena occurred because an alternative medicine group felt that it had been harmed and vilified.
This group is demanding that the Thaghut film be reviewed because its content is deemed to be demeaning to the shaman profession.

This film is under the auspices of Leo Pictures, whose party is currently being sued by a group of alternative medicine.
According to this group, not all shamans are evil, and there are also "white shamans" who feel aggrieved by Leo Pictures' statement calling all shamans heretics in their film promotions.
This was conveyed by a woman named Dwi Lestari who represents an alternative medicine group.
Dwi Lestari asked Leo Pictures to provide clarification regarding the claim that belief in shamans is something that is Thaghut (beyond the limit) without further explanation.

According to Dwi, who is familiarly called Tari, this claim has the potential to cause misconceptions.
“This act of generalization makes the shaman profession seem like everything is wrong and vile. "This is of course very detrimental, both materially and non-materially, for the 'white shamans' who work logically and do not carry out mystical activities," explained Tari in the summons file which was uploaded on August 26 2024.
The film Thaghut itself tells the story of Ainun (played by Yasmin Napper), who has just learned that Abah Mulya (played by Whani Darmawan), a famous shaman who recently died, is her father. Ainun went to see her father for the first and last time. However, he was faced with the dilemma of continuing his father's teachings which were considered heretical, contrary to the beliefs he had learned at the Islamic boarding school.
For your information, this film shows the dramatic struggle of Ainun and her friends, Bagas (Arbani Yasiz) and Rini (Ria Ricis), in facing the terror of Abah Mulya's heretical teachings.
