However, the 72 year old man thanked President Jokowi for the gift and honor he had given him.

"Thank you to the President of the Republic of Indonesia @jokowi for this gift and honor," wrote Prabowo in his personal Instagram statement on Wednesday, February 28 2024.

Apart from that, he also expressed his thanks to the Indonesian National Army and the Republic of Indonesia Police.

"Thank you to the Indonesian National Army and the Republic of Indonesia Police, as well as all TNI and Polri soldiers throughout Indonesia," he continued.

Prabowo admitted that he would always be loyal to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia since he was 18 years old until now.

"Since I was 18 years old, I took an oath to always be loyal to the State, Nation and People of Indonesia and to practice devotion and dedicate my body and soul to our beloved country, that is an oath that I will always uphold," he said.

As is known, President Joko Widodo awarded the title of Honorary General to Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday, 28 February 2024. The promotion is stated in Presidential Decree Number 13/TNI/2024 dated 21 February 2024 concerning the Special Award of Rank in the Form of Honorary TNI General.

On that occasion, Jokowi said that he was giving the award to Prabowo.

"Finally, on this auspicious, happy occasion, I would like to convey the award of a special promotion in the form of an honorary TNI General to Mr. Prabowo Subianto," said Jokowi.

Jokowi also congratulated Prabowo on his promotion.

"This award is a form of appreciation, as well as an affirmation of giving full service to the people, to the nation and state. I congratulate Mr. General Prabowo Subianto," said Jokowi.
