JAKARTA, SEMARAKNEWS.CO.ID - As a friend, El Rumi tells the story of how Aaliyah first met Tariq Halilintar.

The Dewa concert made Aaliyah and Tariq meet and eventually become soul mates in the near future.

"So at that time I had watched Dewa's concert with Aal, then that night there was an event at Tariq. Aal wasn't supposed to come but I invited him to the event. So that night they met there," said El at PIM Friday, 17 May 2024 .

El admitted that he was very happy with the happy news from Aaliyah and Tariq who were engaged.

"It's nice to hear happy news from friends, especially close friends from childhood. Even though I just got engaged yesterday, I'm happy," he said.

However, after the Dewa 19 concert took place, El admitted that he would no longer follow Aaliyah and Tariq's romantic path.

"But after that, that's their business. I just invited Aal to the event. They met, so the rest is their business," he explained.

Regarding the matchmaker title that netizens gave him in Aaliyah and Tariq's relationship, El also responded.

"I'm not a matchmaker, Mr. Matchmaker ha ha ha! You wouldn't call me a matchmaker, I just happened to invite Aal to the same event to meet Tariq. Whether (previously) I knew him or not, I don't know," explained El Rumi.
