JAKARTA, SEMARAKNEWS.CO.ID - Saifullah Yusuf, who is familiarly called Gus Ipul, was inaugurated as the new Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia by President Joko Widodo.
His appointment replaces Mrs. Tri Rismaharini, who resigned to run in the 2024 East Java gubernatorial election.
The appointment of Gus Ipul as Minister of Social Affairs is a real form of trust given to him to continue serving the community, especially through social policies that favor vulnerable and marginalized groups.
Gus Ipul not only carries out state duties, but also maintains the great mandate given by NU to continue serving and empowering the community.
The National Presidium of BEM PTNU Se-Nusantara, Achmad Baha'ur Rifqi, also expressed his congratulations on the new mandate carried out by Gus Ipul.
"We congratulate you on your new mandate as Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Hopefully Gus Ipul will always be given ease in carrying out this task, and will be able to bring broad benefits to the people and the country. His service to NU and the nation will continue to be an inspiration for us, the younger generation," he said.
