Sri Mulyani Jelaskan Alasan Keponakan Prabowo Diangkat Jadi Wamenkeu

JAKARTA, SEMARAKNEWS.CO.ID - It shocked the public that recently Jokowi's nephew, Thomas Djiwandono, was just appointed Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu).

Many say that all officials must have something to do with Jokowi's ties.

As Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati provided an explanation regarding the appointment of Thomas as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Sri Mulyani said that Thomas Djiwandono's entry would focus on being involved in the preparation of the 2025 RAPBN. 

As is known, currently the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) is preparing the 2025 RAPBN.

"We are currently preparing the 2025 APBN. So the focus for Mas Thomas will be to participate in the preparation of the 2025 RAPBN," said Sri Mulyani in a press conference at her office Wednesday, July 18 2024.

Sri Mulyani said the inclusion of Thomas Djiwandono was so that the 2025 RAPBN was in sync with the priority policies of the elected government of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"The aim is for the 2025 RAPBN to reflect and at the same time be in sync with the policy priorities of the president-elect and vice-president-elect," said Sri Mulyani.

Thomas Djiwandono as Deputy Minister of Finance II is said to be working closely with Deputy Minister of Finance I Suahasil Nazara and all echelon I officials to carry out the task of managing state finances.

"As state treasurers, together we continue to use state financial instruments to be able to respond to the dynamics of the global and national economy which will continue to increase. We must also be able to mitigate the risks from these various dynamics so that we can maintain economic stability, maintain and strengthen the momentum of economic growth "and at the same time to maintain fiscal instruments or the APBN so that they remain healthy and sustainable," he added.
